Le moccasin zippé is a footwear brand devoted to functional design and traditional Georgian craftsmanship. Founded in 2012 with the launch of the iconic loafer, with a zipper detail, which sticks both shoes
together, the brand reinterprets universal codes into a brave new vision of the classic moccasin. Evolved shapes and chromatic leathers transform the ultimate casual shoe, each pair a product of dedication and love. 
 
Our founder Ketevane Maissaia grew up in Tbilisi and studied fashion design in Paris, but considers herself a Georgian accessories designer first. She has lent her creative expertise to designing leather-goods for Hermès, Maison Martin Margiela, Bottega Veneta and Loewe. Maissaia’s singular point-of-view is at the heart of Le moccasin zippé, channelling timeless practicality into classic styles and seasonal collections.
 
Each item is handmade in a small atelier in Tbilisi, where artisanal shoemaking is a long-lived tradition. We work with naturally processed materials and locally-sourced methods of production to ensure that sustainability always remains an essential part of the bigger picture. The atelier offers repairs for allmoccasins zippés because we believe that a shoe well-cared for can last a lifetime.
